Back in the Saddle: Returning to Python and Building in Public
It’s been about 6 years—bad, I know—but I am finally back into Python, and it feels incredible to be writing code again.
A lot has changed in the ecosystem since I last seriously dove into a virtual environment, but the core power of the language hasn’t shifted a bit. To shake off the rust, I decided to bypass the usual generic tutorials and dive straight into solving real-world problems. There’s no better way to relearn a framework than by building a live, commercial product.
Lately, my focus has been entirely on automation, web scraping, and modern data pipelines. Specifically, I’ve been building out automated systems to handle massive business directories, cleaning up the data, and turning it into clean, actionable leads.
That hands-on sprint actually led to the launch of my newest project: Chamber Pipeline (https://chamberpipeline.com).
It’s a B2B platform designed specifically to host and organize scraped chamber lead directories, making it incredibly easy for businesses to tap into localized B2B data without the manual headache. Building the scrapers and managing the database architecture for it has been the perfect trial-by-fire to get my programming chops back to where they need to be.
If you’re a developer jumping back into the stack after a long hiatus, or if you’re just looking for high-quality, pre-vetted chamber lead lists to grow your business, definitely check out Chamber Pipeline (https://chamberpipeline.com).
I’ll be sharing more updates here on Strange thoughts with BubbaFries as I continue modernizing my dev workflow, optimizing database performance, and scaling this thing up. Stay tuned!
